BJP men attacked over land dispute

VADODARA: Four persons including two BJP leaders were attacked by a mob of around 15 persons over a land dispute in Saiyed Vasna area on Wednesday.
Kirti Patel, a resident of Atladra, has registered a complaint at Gotri police station. Patel said he along with councillor Kalpesh Patel and Mahisagar BJP president Jayprakash Patel had gone to Saiyed Vasna after being informed that a plot owned his sister-in-law was illegally occupied by some persons.
Patel named one Anuj Patel in his complaint alleging that the persons who occupied the plot were his close aides. After talking to the people at the plot, Patel called up the police to get the land vacated.
However, they were threatened and later thrashed by the mob with sharp-edged weapons and hockey sticks, he alleged. The BJP councillor is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manjalpur.
