BJP expels four members in Anand for anti-party activities
Vadodara: The BJP has expelled four of its members from Anand district for a period of six years for contesting against party candidates or extending support to rival parties ahead of the local body elections. The action, taken with immediate effect, follows directives from the state party leadership. Those expelled include Dhanesh Vankar from Umreth taluka, Bharat Rabari from Sojitra, Kanaiyalal Shah from Umreth town, and Kamlesh Kumar Patel from the Karamsad-Anand municipal ward.According to party leaders, the individuals were found to be contesting as independents or aligning with opposition parties such as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, which was deemed a violation of party discipline.Anand district BJP president Sanjay Patel said the four have been removed from the party's primary membership and stripped of any organisational posts for six years, adding that the move underscores the party's zero-tolerance stance towards anti-party activities.
