BJP candidate booked under Arms Act

VADODARA: BJP candidate for Devgadh Baria constituency in Dahod district Bachu Khabad has been named as an accused in an Arms Act Case after a firearm was seized from a vehicle that was a part of his convoy. The convoy was stopped by policemen in Devgadh Baria on Thursday night and a firearm was recovered from a car in it.
An offence filed by Devgadh Baria police regarding the incident states that when Khabad’s convoy was stopped and details of the vehicles were sought, he sped away.Two SUVs that were in the convoy were stopped and their drivers escaped. A 12-bore shotgun was found in the SUV.
