3 killed in road accident near Kalol

VADODARA: An elderly woman and two children were killed on the spot and four others injured in a road accident between an auto-rickshaw and a truck near Kalol on Friday. The victims were travelling in an auto-rickshaw.
The accident took place around 4.10 pm when the rickshaw had a head on collision with the truck that was on way to Vadodara from Godhra. The deceased were identified as Jasiben Bhagubhai Rathod, 60, Pruthvisinh Vikramsinh Rathod, 6, and Sandip Narendrasinh Gohil, 13.
Pruthvisinh was Jasiben's grandson and both stayed at Delol while Gohil was a resident of Bedhiya. The condition of two of the injured persons was serious and they were rushed to SSG Hospital.
