UDAIPUR: In a case of attempted loot, two miscreants stabbed a taxi driver on Saturday morning. The miscreants had hired a taxi from Udaipur. They then tried throwing chilli powder in the driver's eyes and stabbed him around 25 times.



The incident took place between Sanwaliyaji and Bhadsoda enroute Chittorgarh. The duo fled from the spot after committing the crime. Driver identified as Altaaf mustered courage, reached Mandafiya Hospital on his own and informed the police.

Om Singh Chundawat, SHO of Mandafiya police station said that two persons had hired Altaaf's taxi from Udaipole in Udaipur. The miscreants attacked him near a hotel at Sohankheda on Bhadsoda-Sanwaliaji road. Then they caught hold of Altaaf and attacked him with a knife.
