Rajnath hits out at state govt over safety of women

Udaipur: Union defence minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday addressed a public rally in Kotra in Udaipur where he lambasted the Gehlot government for failing to protect the “mothers and daughters” in the state. “Shame on such a government,” he said, adding, “Such a government has no right to remain in power.”He said that the situation in Rajasthan was so bad that even a woman MLA considered herself as unsafe. “If an MLA is unsafe, how can the common people of Rajasthan be safe?” he asked. He also mentioned several incidents of murder and paper leaks in the state and said that the law-and-order situation had deteriorated to such an extent that tailor Kanhaiya Lal was murdered for no reason.“Gehlot only tried to save his chair. Instead of developing the state, they have been fighting among themselves,” he said. Singh was addressing the public meeting in support of BJP candidate Nanalal Ahari in Kherwara and Babulal Kharadi in Jhadol.

BJP National President JP Nadda accused the Congress government in Rajasthan of corruption, including an old age pension scam of Rs 450 crore. Nadda also highlighted the high number of rape cases in Rajasthan according to the National Crime Record Bureau. He criticized Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's government for failures in farmer loan waivers, subsidized fertilizer exports by Gehlot's brother, and government contracts awarded to Gehlot's family. Nadda emphasized the need for economic development, mentioning the increasing purchase of gold and vehicles in India. He promised to build 20 lakh houses in Rajasthan and provide compensation to farmers who lost their land. Nadda also vowed to investigate and punish those involved in scams. The assembly elections in Rajasthan are scheduled for November 25.

Union defence minister Rajnath Singh visits Singapore

Union defence minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the Indian National Army (INA) marker in Singapore. He also offered prayers at the Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore. Rajnath Singh meets Timor-Leste Defence Minister, reaffirms India's support for development
