Raje meets prime witness of Kanhaiya Lal murder case
Udaipur: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje who is on a three-day Udaipur tour visited Rajkumar’s house on Saturday and met the family. Rajkumar is the prime witness in Kanhaiya Lal murder case. Raje was accompanied by Mavli MLA Dharmanarayan Joshi and other BJP officials. Raje spoke to Rajkumar’s wife and son and offered aid of Rs 1 lakh to the family and promised to take responsibility of his daughter’s marriage. Raje said, “I have come here to take note of the actual situation and inquire about his health. We will provide all possible help to the family of Rajkumar.”Rajkumar, the prime witness in the murder case, had suffered brain stroke and is completely bed-ridden.Later in the day before leaving for Sanwaliaji temple in Chittorgarh district Raje participated in the cleanliness drive organised by the municipal corporation of Udaipur. Raje and other BJP workers cleaned the streets. The cleanliness drive has become the latest political controversy after a video of garbage being scattered by the workers on clean roads went viral. The garbage was deliberately littered by workers on a stretch of clean road moments before the campaign started .Reacting to the event, CWC member and ex-MP Raghuveer Singh Meena said Raje’s cleanliness drive was a complete sham. “I don't understand why BJP has to do such a drama. Yesterday (Friday), before Union home minister Amit Shah's public meeting here the municipal office asked the sanitation workers to go on leave. They were directed to attend Shah's rally instead. Such BJP dramas will not last long as people in Rajasthan understand everything. BJP dramas compared to Rajasthan government’s social benefit schemes are bound to fail,” said Meena.
