‘PWD engineer had ₹68 lakh, currency counting machine’

Udaipur: A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) searched the residence and bank lockers of PWD XEN Rajendra Prasad Lakhara, who was arrested on charges of bribery on Wednesday, and found cash of Rs 68.71 lakh and documents of properties worth crores of rupees, ACB officials said on Thursday. Hemant Priyadarshi, ADGP, ACB, said that when the residence of the accused in Udaipur was searched, the team recovered Rs 24.57 lakh in cash, a currency counting machine, documents of 10 land plots and 2 residential buildings and 3 agricultural land plots, 3 four-wheelers, two 2-wheelers.
