Udaipur: The district special team of Chittorgarh on late Tuesday night intercepted and seized a vehicle carrying drugs and poppy husk. The smugglers fired at cops and managed to escape in the dark. The police seized 2 kg Methylene Dioxy Methyl Aminoindane, a central nervous system stimulant drug and four quintal poppy post which was being transported in an SUV.

border. When the driver of the SUV was asked to stop, he reversed the vehicle and tried to escape. The vehicle of the smugglers was hit by the police vehicle which led to unbalancing of the smugglers SUV forcing it to shift towards the Bedach river bed.
The two smugglers got down from the vehicle and taking advantage of the dark fled. When the police tried to chase the accused, they pointed the pistol towards the cops and managed to escape.
The vehicle was seized by police and drug worth Rs 2 crore was seized.
