Udaipur/Kota/Alwar: Three people died and two others were injured after being struck by lightning in Khairthal-Tijara and Alwar districts on Saturday.
A married couple was killed and their son received injuries after being struck by lightning in Khairthal-Tijara. The deceased were identified as Bhim Singh, 50, and his wife Choti Devi, 48, residents of Padmadha Khurd village under Mundawar police station.
Their son, Bhuvnesh, was injured. “They were among some farmers who had taken shelter in a shed under a tree during rain when lightning struck,” said a police officer.
In Alwar, a woman died and her nephew sustained burn injuries in a lightning strike, said police. TNN
