Youth killed as bus hits two-wheeler

PUDUKOTTAI: A 19-year-old youth

died

after a bus hit his

two-wheeler

near Melathur in

Pudukkottai

district on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as K Tamilvanan of Sankarapuram in Villupuram district. He was undergoing training in operating earthmovers.


The accident happened around 7.30am when Tamilvanan was trying to overtake a truck. A private bus coming in the opposite side hit the motorcycle. Tamilvanan was thrown off the two-wheeler and died on the spot.

The Vadakadu police have registered a

case

The body was sent to Government Pudukkottai Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
