Vodafone launched
4G
services -- Vodafone SuperNet 4G -- in
Trichy
city on Thursday. Keeping in mind the tough competition from other service providers, it has come out with various
data
packages for its customers.
Vodafone’s
Tamil Nadu business head S Murali said, “Beginning today, our customers in Trichy and soon across Tamil Nadu will enjoy the 4G network experience. SuperNet will be available in 2,400 towns across 17 circles in the country by March 2017. These 17 circles where Vodafone will offer 4G services contribute over 90% of Vodafone India’s data revenues,” said Murali.
Stating that Trichy being a critical market for Vodafone, Murali said the company had been on the process of improving its network system to provide seamless network to the customers.
“Tamil Nadu is a focus and significant growth market for Vodafone India. To cater to the growing volumes of customer usage and their increasing need for speed, the company has invested over Rs 7,000 crore till date including Rs 350 crore in H1 FY 17 to expand, modernise and build a more technology and energy efficient network,” said Murali.
It has offered data packs from Rs 8 for 30 MB up to Rs 999 for 22 GB, unlimited surfing on mobile internet, hourly products from Rs 18 per hour, 4G Mi-Fi that supports Wi-Fi connectivity up to 15 devices and few other.
