Trichy: Two people were killed when the bike in which they were travelling collided with a vehicle near Mannaparrai late on Wednesday.
According to police, Madhan Kumar N, 25, Anand S, 35, and Rajesh, 23, had gone on a bike to attend a function at Vadipatti on the Trichy-Dindigul road. While returning to Trichy, the trio are said to have travelled at a high speed to get back home early.
As they neared Keeranur and turned towards Manapparai, they lost control and hit a vehicle. Madhan Kumar and Anand died instantly. Rajesh, who was severely injured, managed to call for help.
Rajesh S was rushed to the Trichy Government Hospital and is said to be out of danger. The bodies of the other two were sent for postmortem to the hospital. The police said both persons were working as drivers for a private company.
