TVK may have something to do with Jana Nayagan leak: Piyush Goyal
Thanjavur: Union minister of commerce Piyush Goyal on Sunday said there is something fishy about the leak of the actor turned politician Vijay's movie Jana Nayagan, and suggested that TVK itself might have had something to do with it."The same people used to criticise the delay in the release. If an inquiry is held, they will be exposed. After all, thousands of films get released every year in India. They should immediately file an FIR. How come this is the only film that got leaked? Other than the producer, nobody else had the film," he said while talking to reporters in Thanjavur.

On DMK's criticism of transfer of IAS officers, Goyal said, "The DMK has never respected any constitutional authority. They have insulted the governor, the Prime Minister, the Election Commission, and the judiciary. When a judge gives an order they do not like, they file an impeachment motion against the judge. This DMK govt has never respected the Constitution or constitutional authorities." He further alleged that the DMK govt has failed to fulfil most of its election promises. "Under the DMK-Congress regime, farmers' sweat has turned into tears.
Their crops were destroyed due to unseasonal rains, and no storage capacity was built by the state govt, due to which 20 lakh tonnes of paddy were destroyed. When they tried to sell their paddy again, they were unable to do so because of delayed procurement by the state govt, and it went to waste due to a lack of storage capacity. They had promised in the last election to build a grain warehouses. Where are these warehouses? They had promised a 10,000 crore water management project for the delta region. Where is this project? The DMK govt has not fulfilled more than 70% of the promises it made to the people of Tamil Nadu," he said. Earlier in the day, he met with BJP Pudukottai functionaries, including candidates contesting the election. In Thanjavur, he campaigned for Karuppu Muruganandham, who is the candidate for Thanjavur.
