Trichy: MP Durai Vaiko thanked Union railway minister
Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Monday for awarding a no objection certificate (NOC) to utilise a portion of railway land for the construction of an 80 crore elevated rotary at G Corner on the Trichy-Chennai national highway.
"This development coming after 16 years is not just a relief for Trichy people, but also for those commuting between Chennai and southern Tamil Nadu. Traffic bottlenecks will be prevented during weekends and festival days. I thanked the railway minister for the NOC for using railway land, and I reiterated the demand to operate a new train service between Trichy and Tirupati," Durai Vaiko said.
