Training programme to promote organic farming

Trichy: Indian Council for Agricultural Research -Krishi Vigyan Kendra (ICAR-KVK) at Sirugamani in Trichy will conduct a seminar and exhibition every month, to promote organic agriculture. This event is scheduled to take place on the first Tuesday of every month at KVK, Sirugamani. The first event will start on Oct 1.Experts will provide guidance to farmers on topics such as organic farming, preparation of organic fertilizers, cultivation of nutrient-rich vegetables, and the marketing of organic products, said programme coordinator C Raja Babu of ICAR-KVK, Sirugamani.To facilitate the marketing of organic fertilizers, a technical exhibition showcasing simple, cost-effective methods for producing organic fertilizers will also be organized.Interested farmers, fertilizer producers, and marketers are encouraged to participate and benefit from it.
