Special drive in Trichy to prevent crimes

Trichy: The Trichy district police are conducting a special drive on the holidays from Friday to Sunday to prevent crimes and monitor individuals involved in criminal activities.On Friday night, Trichy superintendent of police S Selva Nagarathinam conducted surprise inspections in Thirumalai Samuthiram, MIET College checkpoint, Samathuvapuram and Thuvaakudi toll plaza. During the drive, he issued guidance to police personnel and patrol teams and emphasized the importance of vehicle inspections, checking suspicious individuals, and using a face recognition app to verify if individuals have any prior criminal records.
