Senthilbalaji defends reinstatement as min
Trichy: Electricity minister V Senthilbalaji on Sunday criticised BJP for demanding his removal from the cabinet following the Supreme Court's observations. "Has no one in the BJP ever become a minister after coming out of jail," he said to a question while addressing reporters in Karur.On the controversy over power purchase, Senthil Balaji said Tamil Nadu is purchasing electricity at Rs 2.51 per unit, the lowest in the country. "Yet, some people want to tarnish our image by spreading misinformation. We already released a statement dismissing allegations that our chief minister M K Stalin met industrialist Gautam Adani. No deals were signed between our govt and Adani," he said. Senthil Balaji attended a grievance redressal meeting held in the Kodangipatti area and received petitions from the people residing in the Krishnarayapuram and Karur constituencies. Karur district collector M Thangavel, mayor Kavitha, Aravakurichi MLA R Elango, and Krishnarayapuram MLA K Sivagama Sundarai were also present.
