Police seize illegally mined sand, search for two

Trichy: Trichy district police seized illegally mined sand from a mini truck near milk society at Kaduvetti during a patrol on Friday. Police have launched a search for two people -S Rakeshwaran from Kaduvetti and S Prasanth - who escaped from the vehicle on seeing the police. Police said that Rakeshwaran was the owner cum driver of the vehicle while Prasanth was the helper. Police booked them under sections of BNS and Mines and Minerals (development and regulations) Act.
