Man hacks father to death

: A 65-year-old farmer was hacked to death by his son in

Pudukkottai

district over property dispute on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as

Kathaiah

from Kulantheeranpatti village near Karambakudi. He was hacked to death by his younger son Pasupathy, 35, in the early hours of Tuesday, when the victim was fast asleep.

, 60, the victim was not in good terms with both his sons as demanded the partition of their ancestral land. According to police, Kathaiah had a heated argument with Pasupathy and his elder son Chandra Kumar, 40, on Monday over the property. Pasupathy came to his father’s place on Tuesday and hacked his father.
