Listing various welfare schemes implemented by the DMK govt, Dayanidhi said chief minister M K Stalin was the only leader in the country who genuinely believed in empowering common people. "The BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union home minister Amit Shah tried to halt the process, but Stalin thwarted their attempts by providing 5,000 under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. Women's empowerment means the growth of Tamil Nadu, and Stalin is the only leader in the country thinking about women's welfare," he said.He further alleged that the BJP was attempting to enter Tamil Nadu "through the back door." "For that, they are using slaves and traitors. EPS became chief minister by falling at Sasikala's feet, but later turned against her and claimed he became chief minister through his own talent.
He cheated not only Sasikala but also the entire state," he said. Earlier in the day, a discussion meeting was organised by the DMK in Karur district with entrepreneurs, social workers, academicians, volunteers, charitable organisations and trade unions under the Karur assembly constituency. The meeting was presided over by Senthil Balaji.
