M K Stalin laid the foundation stone for three new TIDEL Neo parks in Karur, Pudukottai, and Nagapattinam districts on Wednesday through video conference. These parks, to be built at a total estimated cost of 119 crore, will create new employment opportunities for 1,800 IT professionals .
The parks will be constructed with four floors in Inam Karur, Karur district, spanning around 64,000sqft at a cost of 38.5 crore. The other two parks will each have three floors - one in Nattampannai, Pudukottai district, covering approximately 60,400sqft at 36.7 crore, and another in Nagapattinam town, with around 61,000sqft at 43.7 crore.
Educated youth in the respective districts will gain access to IT-related employment within their own areas.
The initiative is expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of these regions and support the overall growth of the state, according to a statement.
Natural resources minister S Ragupathi, school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, industries minister T R B Raja, and Nagapattinam MLA J Mohamed Shanavas attended the ceremonies.
Currently, the Taramani TIDEL park at 1.2 million sqft with 15 floors and Pattabiram TIDEL park at 5.57 lakh sqft with 21 floors, are fully operational.
Construction work is progressing on new TIDEL parks in Madurai, spanning 5.34 lakh sqft at a cost of 314 crore, and in Trichy, covering 5.58 lakh sqft at 403 crore.
In addition, Neo TIDEL parks are currently functional in Villupuram, Thanjavur, Salem, Tuticorin, Tiruppur, Vellore, and Karaikudi.
Foundation stones were recently laid for new parks in Tiruvannamalai, Namakkal, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, and Erode districts.
