Chennai: A day after chief minister Stalin condemned BJP govt for the hike in commercial LPG prices, MDMK general secretary
Vaiko and
CPI state secretary M Veerapandian followed suit. The price of a unit of LPG commercial cylinder has been hiked by 993. "Due to the shortage of commercial cylinders, restaurants have suffered for the past two months. Further increase in price will affect the common man," Vaiko said.
Veerapandian, in a statement, said that the burden of the price hike has been transferred to the common man. "Commercial cylinders have become out of reach to small and medium traders," he said. Meanwhile, president of federation of TN traders association A M Vikramaraja said that they would protest if the price hike is not rolled back.
