Call for more flights between Trichy, Kuwait

Trichy: A group of Tamils in Kuwait met Trichy MP Su Thirunavukarasar during his visit to the gulf country a few days ago and handed over a representation seeking steps to operate additional flight services to the country from Trichy. As of now, two flights are operated to the country from Trichy. Kuwait’s designated carriers Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways had already approached India’s civil aviation ministry for grant of approval to fly to Trichy international airport. However, due to non-accordance of permission, these could not be operated. Kuwait Tamil Islamic Committee’s treasurer Alhaaj Zaheer Hussain, social wing secretary Mohammed Abu Salim, youth wing secretary Muhammed Thasneem and Non-Resident Tamil Association functionary Jaleel Musthafa and cadres of Kuwait DMK met Thirunavukarasar.TNN
