Boy electrocuted

An eight-year-old boy was electrocuted when he touched a snapped wire at his grandfather's house at Nambukurichi in Trichy district on Saturday night. Police said G Vitharth, from Nedungalur near Lalgudi, was a Class III student at private school in Padalur in Perambalur district. The boy and his mother went to Nambukurichi. While playing in the house, he came in contact with a damaged electric wire connected to a motor pump in the restroom. His family members rushed him to a private hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. Police registered a case.
