Bike-borne duo snatches gold chain from elderly woman

Trichy: Two unidentified men riding a motorcycle snatched two sovereigns gold chain from an elderly woman in KK Nagar area of Trichy.The victim, T Oppayee, 65, and a resident of KK Nagar, is a retired superintendent from a university. She was walking home on Sunday night when the two men came behind her on a motorcycle, grabbed the chain from her neck, and sped from the scene.Oppayee lodged a complaint at the KK Nagar police station. On Monday morning, a case was registered against the unidentified accused under Section 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).As of Tuesday, the suspects have not been identified or arrested. Police are continuing their investigation and have begun collecting surveillance camera footage from nearby areas.
