Bhel Trichy releases AI video to promote industrial safety

Trichy: Bhel Trichy launched a short awareness film on industrial safety, conceived and produced using local resources and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the factory here. Executive director (ED) of Bhel Trichy, S Prabhakar, launched the video as part of the National Safety Day celebration on Wednesday to promote workplace safety and occupational health.Unfurling the safety flag and administering the safety pledge to general managers, product and functional heads, and senior officials, Prabhakar said that Bhel Trichy is a pioneer in nurturing a strong culture of safety and occupational health. He said that the unit here consistently maintains certification under the global safety management system standards. "Safety is the core value, according to the highest priority at Bhel Trichy, on a par with productivity, quality, and the achievement of production targets," Prabhakar said. Referring to the National Safety Day theme for 2026, ‘Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety', he said that the unit continues to work towards meeting challenging production schedules and delivery commitments. Prabhakar stressed the need for systematic risk assessments to build a shared sense of responsibility for safety across all levels of the organisation.
