Bhel Trichy employees told to imbibe quality as a culture

TRICHY: Bhel Trichy complex on Friday launched the 39th quality month celebrations to promote quality awareness in productions and operations at the factory here.

More than 25 special training and lecture programmes are being organized as part of the quality month celebrations with a focus on the year’s theme ‘Ownership at every step means quality is always met.’

S Prabhakar, executive director, Bhel Trichy complex, said, “Each and every employee of the entire value chain including engineering, procurement, production and up to the final dispatch of the products must imbibe quality as a culture to achieve the commitments to the customers.”

He was addressing general managers, products and functional heads and representatives of employees’ unions and associations.

Stating that Bhel Trichy has been a frontrunner in many company-wide quality related initiatives, he said bagging of the coveted CII EXIM Bank award for business excellence last year and most of the quality circles from the unit consistently winning awards at various national and international quality conventions were a testament to the unit’s commitment to quality.

Prabhakar administered the quality pledge to general managers and all products and functional heads.

A quality month message was read out by Jai Prakash Srivastava, director, engineering, research and development, to all Bhel employees.
