Trichy: Block development officer suspended over bribery charge

in the district was placed under suspension on Wednesday for accepting bribe from beneficiaries of the chief minister’s solar powered green house scheme at Vannadu village. District collector S Sivarasu suspended

The suspension order comes following an inquiry over a video of

Manivel

having a conversation with a group of villagers over bribery for sanctioning the scheme. Sources said that the

BDO

demanded 3,000 each from five out of ten beneficiaries for sanctioning the scheme.
