Trichy: An additional superintendent of police from Perambalur was injured in an accident on Monday while driving his personal vehicle, which reportedly collided with a wall of a govt hospital.
M Balumurugan, who serves in the Prohibition Enforcement Wing, was returning from night patrol duty on Monday morning via Thuraiyur Road. As Balumurugan approached the Perambalur Government Hospital, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall near the hospital's kitchen. He sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the GH itself. The Perambalur police are investigating.
