4-year-old dies after getting trapped inside parked car in Karur

Trichy: A four-year-old boy died of asphyxiation after getting trapped inside a parked car near Kulithalai in Karur district on Thursday evening. Police identified the child as Sanjeevi, son of construction workers Velu and Mareeswari of Kalugoor village.According to police, Sanjeevi was playing with friends near his house when he entered a parked car covered with a vehicle sheet. The boy is suspected to have accidentally locked himself inside the vehicle. As the car was fully covered, neither family members nor neighbours noticed that the child was trapped inside, police said. After Sanjeevi went missing for several hours, family members searched the area and eventually checked the car, where they found him unconscious. He was rushed to the Kulithalai Govt Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Thogaimalai police registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating. MSID:: 130679556 413 |
