: The
Perambalur
police on Thursday arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a pharmacist near Perambalur. While four accused were arrested and remanded in judicial custody, one is still at large. The accused are
Prabhakaran alias Ezhuthani, Girish alias Karthik, Suresh and Raghunath, all hailing from
Ladapuram
in Perambalur. The police have booked a case against the accused under six sections of IPC, including 302(murder) and 506(2) (criminal intimidation). Prabhakaran and
Raghunath
visited the pharmacy of the victim, M Nagarajan, and bought some medicines on Tuesday night. When Nagarajan demanded them to pay for the medicine, the accused refused to give money and assaulted him near his house. Although Nagarajan was rushed to the Perambalur government hospital, he was declared dead on arrival by Wednesday early morning.
