Vismaya death: Kiran Kumar tests Covid positive

KOLLAM: The evidence gathering in the death of Vismaya of Kaithakodu, Nilamel, was postponed as Kiran Kumar, the accused and her husband tested Covid positive on Wednesday.
The investigation team led by Sasthamcotta DSP P Rajkumar was planning to bring Kiran to Vismaya’s house to collect evidence on Wednesday. On testing Covid positive, his police custody was cancelled and he was sent to jail.The evidence gathering would be delayed by at least two weeks.
Kiran’s police custody was for three days. As he was tested positive, the investigators who interrogated him and the police party that accompanied him for evidence gathering, would have to remain under observation.
