UAE delegation to attend Invest Kerala Global Summit

Thiruvananthapuram: The UAE will send a special delegation to participate in the international investor summit called Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS), organized by the state govt. The UAE accepted the invitation to attend the summit, announced industries minister P Rajeeve during a meeting in Abu Dhabi with UAE cabinet minister of investment Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi. The roadshow, as part of the investment summit, began in Dubai.Suwaidi expressed interest in further investments in sectors like logistics and food processing in Kerala. A special delegation participating in the IKGS will evaluate these opportunities, said a press release.The Abu Dhabi chamber of commerce will also send a special delegation to the investment summit. Before the IKGS, a team of chamber officials will be sent to Kerala for preliminary assessments. The delegation will examine available locations and evaluate investment sectors, it added.The meeting was attended by the Chamber of Commerce chairman and department of economic development head Ahmed Jasim, first vice-chairman Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, and second vice-chairman Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri. During the two-day Dubai investor meet and roadshow, key industrialists and trade organizations will engage in meetings and discussions. LuLu group chairman M A Yusuff Ali, principal secretary of the industries department APM Mohammed Hanish, KSIDC MD S Harikishore were among those who participated in the events.
