Treat your taste buds at Fundago food fest in Kovalam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 'Fundago', the three-day annual festival of the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), will begin at its campus in Kovalam on Friday. Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels and Resorts chairman Vijayan Thomas will inaugurate the mega gourmet event which the institute hosts since 1993.
The festival will feature 10 food stalls besides two entertainment stalls, where visitors can savour delicacies from around the world.The stalls would be serving Arabic, Chinese, and ethnic Kerala cuisines, apart from sweets and pastries. Cultural programmes are also planned, which include kathakali, kalaripayattu and other performances by students.
The institute, affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, conducts full time three-year Bachelor of Science programmes in hospitality and hotel administration and other short term courses.
