Three men held for assault

Thiruvananthapuram: Kadakkavoor police on Sunday recorded the arrest of three persons who were accused of barging into the house and assaulting a man at Kadakkavoor. The arrested persons were identified as Jishnu, 32, alias Kichu a resident of Pazhanchira, Vishnu, 34 alias Pravunni, a resident of Melkadavoor and Renjith alias Unni, 32 a resident of Pallimukku near Kadakkavoor.The incident happened on March 6.
The accused arrived at the house of one Vikraman by a two wheeler at night and assaulted him and his family members using dangerous weapons. They went into hiding after the assault. The police had intensified the probe following the incident. The police said that all three of the arrested persons are also accused in various criminal cases centred around Pazhanchira.
They were arrested from a relative’s house at Vakkom. Kadakkavor SHO Ajesh V, SI Deepu SS, GSI Manilal, ASI Sreekumar, Rajiv, senior civil police officer Jyothish Kumar, civil police officer Binu, Sujin, Dani and Rakesh were part of the team who arrested the accused. They were produced in the court and remanded into judicial custody.
