Tanthri’s arrest to save ex-min: BJP chief

T'puram: BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar here on Saturday alleged that special investigation team that arrested Sabarimala tanthri Kadararu Rajeevaru in Sabarimala gold heist case did so to save former devswom minister Kadakampally Surendran from the case.

"Tanthri was arrested without a trace of evidence against him. The court said so. Then it was a drama to deflect attention from former devaswmom minister Kadakampally Surendran and current devaswmom minister V N Vasavan," Rajeev alleged.


The BJP chief said nobody was talking about the role of Kadakampally and Vasavan after the arrest of tanthri, adding that BJP would not let chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan protect those who stole gold from the Sabarimala temple.

He also raised the demand for resignation of health minister Veena George. Chandrasekhar said Kerala was the only state in India where scissors were found inside the abdomen of patients after surgery in govt hospitals. The CPM govt, which boasts about the Kerala model, should answer this situation, he said.
