Shaji Jacob is new Ernakulam press club president

KOCHI: Shaji Jacob (Deepika) and S Harikrishnan (Malayala Manorama) have been unanimously elected as the President and Secretary respectively of the Ernakulam district unit of the Kerala Union of working journalists and the Ernakulam Press club. Other office-bearers elected are: K Pradeep (The Hindu) and K D Dayal (Kerala Kaumudi) -Vice Presidents; K Ravikumar (Deshabhimani) and Sugathan P Balan (Madhyamam) - Joint Secretaries.V S Shine (Mathrubhumi) is the Treasurer. A six-member Executive Committee,comprising K S Nair (UNI), R R Jayaram and P S Mohan (Both Janmabhumi), Abhilash G Nair (Asianet News), K George Joseph (Surya TV) and R Subhash (Kairali TV) have also been elected, according to a press release from the club.
