Rampur Warsi brothers to enthral Thiruvananthapuram with Sufi Qawwali performances

Thiruvananthapuram: The renowned Rampur Warsi Brothers are set to present their soulful Sufi Qawwali music in the state capital, with shows scheduled from Nov 4 to 7They will perform at several educational institutions, including both schools and colleges.The musical event led by Mohammad Khan Warsi and Mohammad Ahmad Khan Warsi, will showcase the talents of renowned Sufi Qawwali artists including Waris Nawaz, Arshad, Ikhlas Husain, Mohammad Naqvi, Mohammad Faiz, and Rahat Husain.The programme is organised by the Kerala chapter of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth), a cultural organisation that encourages the appreciation of Indian classical art forms among students. The performances will be held across multiple campuses in the city, offering students the opportunity to experience and understand the rich tradition of Qawwali music.SPIC MACAY state coordinator Velayudha Kurup said the event is aimed at introducing students to the essence of Qawwali, helping them to appreciate and enjoy the traditional music form.
