THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran on Saturday flayed chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his pungent criticism against the talks between Jamaat-e-Islami and RSS. Vijayan was livid at the talks since he longed for tension between religions, Surendran said.
“The CM opposes such talks as CPM could make political gains only if the Hindus and Muslims fight each other. That’s why he opposes talks between RSS and Muslim leaders. His stand that Muslim organizations should not hold talks with RSS is grossly undemocratic,” the BJP state president said, adding that nobody has entrusted with Vijayan the exclusive right to speak on behalf of minorities.

The CPM always tried to put Muslim community in trouble by acting as their saviour. The appeasement of CPM benefited only the terror outfits. That community was capable enough to identify the double standard of CPM, Surendran said.
He said Left leaders like Pinarayi Vijayan and Sitaram Yechury were always trying to blow up non-issues and thus create communal tension. The Left leaders, said Surendran, had carried out large-scale hate campaigns in Kerala during the protest against CAA.
“The CPM is now trying to fill the vacancy of Popular Front of India. Communists were never happy to see the country moving ahead with peace and unity. The Left is so worried that there are no communal riots during the Modi regime in the country,” he said, adding that CPM tried to fan the tension during Ayodhya struggle too.
Vijayan on Friday slammed Jamaat-e-Islami for holding dialogues with RSS and said that its argument that there is a need for a dialogue beyond differences with the Sangh Parivar reveals the Muslim organisation's “hypocrisy”.
