Pinarayi haunted by guilt: Kummanam
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan on Monday said that it was chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s guilty conscience that prompted him to term RSS chief's criticism against the LDF government as a challenge against Keralites.
“If Pinarayi Vijayan is concerned about the dignitary and safety of Malayalis, he should focus more on taking stringent action against anti-national elements,” Rajasekharan said.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat had accused the state government for being soft towards ‘jihadi elements’ and in reply to that Vijayan had said that the RSS was trying to insult the whole public of Kerala.
“The irresponsible attitude of those who were in power in the state has made Kerala a safe haven for anti-national forces. The embarrassment that Pinarayi Vijayan would feel when the fact was pointed out by a leader outside Kerala is obvious. There are several instances to prove how the left and right front governments helped out anti-national elements for petty political gains,” said the BJP state president in his Facebook post.
“Many of the terrorists killed in Kashmir were from Kerala. It was the CPM government that resurrected Indian Union Muslim League by gifting Malappuram district. This appeasement still continues. I hope you (Pinarayi Vijayan) would not have forgotten the arrest of terrorists with international links from Kanakamal a in Kannur'', he said.
Kummanam questioned the rationale behind Pinarayi's claim that RSS chief's statement was an insult to all Malayalis. He said Keralites have the sense to understand the meaning of RSS chief's words.
Rajasekharan also urged Pinarayi to read history of Indian independence struggle to understand the contributions of RSS to the Quit India Movement.
