P Kunhiraman Nair remembered

Thiruvananthapuram: Mahakavi P Foundation on Friday organized a function to commemorate poet P Kunhiraman Nair at Vylopilli Samskriti Bhavan on the occasion of the 38th death anniversary of the late poet.
The morning session inaugurated by chairman of the Sangeetha Nataka Academy Soorya Krishnamoorthy had sopana sangeetham performance by Njaralethu Harigovindan."If we intend to pay respects to the poet, it should be through the revival of such picturesque villages mentioned in the Mahakavi's works," said Harigovindan.
Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy chairman Kattoor Narayana Pillai, Dominic J Katoor, Bettymol Mathew and Gireesh Puliyoor spoke about the contributions of P. V Raveendran Nair, P's son, recalled episodes from his childhood involving his father. TNN
