Nine classic stories of Malayalam on DD

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Doordarshan Malayalam Channel will telecast a series of nine telefilms based on nine classic stories in Malayalam, P Peer Mohammed, director, Doordarshan Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram said here on Wednesday. <br /><br />Addressing a press conference Peer said that the series include <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Oru Manushian </span>by Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Vellappokkathil </span>by Thakazhy, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Rachiyamma </span>by Uroob, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Sandarshanam </span>by S K Pottekkat, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Thyagam </span>by Parappurathu, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Yathrakkidayil </span>by M P Narayana Pillai, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Ullurukkam </span>by N P Mohammed, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Yuddham </span>by Malayattoor, and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Prathigna </span>by P Kesava Dev.<br /><br />These telefilms are directed by prominent film directors like Shaji N Karun, Jayaraj, T V Chandran, C Radhakrishnan, Harikumar, P N Menon, K R Mohanan, Shyama Prasad and A Anwar.<br /><br />A documentary series with the title <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Samskriti </span>on the various aspects of Kerala life has been completed and was ready for telecast.He also stated that there will be special programmes for three consecutive days during Onam festival. </div> </div>
