Thiruvananthapuram: Finance minister K N Balagopal on Thursday inaugurated the Amuseum Gallery of Modern Art (AGMA) at

Vellayambalam

near Althara Nagar Vidyadhiraja School. The 1,500 square feet gallery spread about six rooms incorporate modern facilities like air conditioning, video room, museum lighting, open space, library and a souvenir shop. According to authorities, the newly opened museum is one of the finest galleries in the city to showcase various contemporary art forms, including painting, sculpture, installation and video art.
As part of the inaugural session, an art exhibition titled ‘From Where All That Sweet’ curated by Niranjana Surendran is being conducted here. It will run until July 31. Artists can also book the gallery. The artists who wish to showcase their works can utilize the assistance provided by the Amuseum in framing and mounting of the paintings. The exhibitions take place from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm except Mondays.
The exhibition features 28 artists from across the country, including Abin Sreedhar, Ajith Nedumangadu, Ali Akbar P N, Banzy Dolakya, Beerendar Yadhav,
