Meghamalhar wins Filmfare best film award

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">chennai: <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">meghamalhar,</span> produced by m.v. sreyams kumar, has been adjudged the best malayalam film for the year 2001 by <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">filmfare.</span> according to the results of 49th annual filmfare awards for south indian regional films, malayalam actress samyuktha varma has won her second consecutive <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">filmfare </span>award as the best actress for her performance in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">meghamalhar.</span> vinayan has been declared best director for <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">karumadikuttan.</span> the best actor award has gone to jayaram for his performance in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">theerthadanam, </span>his second award from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">filmfare.</span>suresh peter has bagged the best music director award for his renditions in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">ravanaprabhu.</span> the awards will be presented at a function at jawaharlal nehru stadium in chennai on april 20 at 6.30 pm. </div> </div>
