Thiruvananthapuram: In connection with World Heart Day, a cardiology medical camp for police officers in the district was held at Nandavanam District Headquarters on Monday.
The camp was conducted by KIMS Hospital in coordination with the Kerala Police Association, Thiruvananthapuram District Committee. ADGP K Padmakumar inaugurated the camp.
“While carrying out their duties to protect the public, the police officers often forget to take care of their own health. They should realize the fact that their health also needs protection and such medical camps will be highly useful for them,” said Padmakumar.
“We have to first understand that our lifestyle is the major problem for diseases,” said KIMS Hospital vice-chairman Dr G Vijayaraghavan.
The camp offered facilities like ECG, blood sugar, blood pressure, and other major testing.
District police head G Sparjankumar and consultant cardiologist Dr Dhinesh David were the chief guests.
