Marriage racket busted in TN

coimbatore: the kerala police on thursday arrested four members involved in a marriage racket here. according to sources, ismail (32), a resident of madukkarai, a coimbatore suburb, got married to a girl at the neighbouring city palakkad three months ago. at the time of marriage, ismail had introduced roulath (40) and noor mohammed (50) as his parents.however, after the marriage, ismail was not to be seen for a long time. the dowry of rs 50,000 paid by the girl's parents and 8 sovereigns of gold were also missing. the girl who suspected foul play lodged a complaint with the palakkad north police station. further investigations by the kerala police led to the trio's arrest from coimbatore, besides jabbar who brokered the deal.
