THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : A lottery vendor was reportedly duped with photo stat of Rs 2000 currency at Chirayinkeezhu here on Sunday. According to the complaint received at Chirayinkeezhu police station, Sudevan, a lottery vendor sold lottery ticket worth Rs 100 to two people in front of SBT ATM at Chirayinkeezhu.
The persons handed out a 2000 currency note and Sudevan gave a balance of 1900.

He then took it to a beverages outlet where he was told that the currency was fake. Sudevan later approached the manager of SBT who confirmed that the note was a Photostat copy of Rs 2000. Sajeesh H L, SHO, Chirayinkeezhu police said that the persons have not been identified and that a case has been registered. Sudevan is a resident of Chirayinkeezhu.
