Kerala woman completes her mother's incomplete love story

When it's about love, it's never too late. Aathira Dathan, completed the incomplete love story of her mother, Anitha Chembuvilayil (52) and married her off to her first love.
The solemn wedding of 68-year-old G Vikraman to Aathira's mother, Anitha Chembuvilayil, brought to an end 32 years of emotional upheaval. They were married on July 21, 2016.
Aathira, who also shared this experience on Facebook, talks about her mother's love story and the hardships they underwent together.
It all started in 1984, when Anitha was studying in class 10 at Ochira, near Kollam. Vikraman was a teacher at a tuition centre. Anitha and Vikraman fell in love but their relationship wasn't approved by her father and she was later married off to a much older man.
Anitha and Vikraman fell in love, but her father refused to approve their relationship. Marrying his daughter to a much older man, a mere teacher and a CPI activist was downright unacceptable to her father and she was later married off to another man chosen by him.
Under pressure from her father and after repeated warnings of grave consequences, Anitha never met Vikraman again. Unfortunately, Anitha's alcoholic husband committed suicide. She was then a mother of two daughters and Aathira was eight years old. Anitha struggled and overcame all odds to give her daughters the best education that she could afford.
Meanwhile, Vikraman had moved away to Chavara where he spent three decades as a political activist. When Anitha's two daughters grew up and got to know about their mother's incomplete love story, they decided to gift her a happy ending. But her mother insisted that both her daughters should get married before she starts thinking about her life ahead. So, after Aathira got married, she made sure that her mother's love story was completed.
And the two daughters gifted their mother the happiest day of her life.
