Integrated portal to streamline land-related services in state
Thiruvananthapuram: The ‘Ente Bhoomi' digital land survey project in the state is set to take a significant leap forward with the inauguration of an integrated portal to be launched on Tuesday. This portal will streamline land-related services from the revenue, registration, and survey departments, said revenue minister K Rajan. He said that the portal aims to fulfil the project's vision of "land for everyone, records for every land, all services smart" by providing a fully digital platform for all land transactions and services. "From now on, joint land services will be available in villages where the digital survey is complete," he said. The portal will initially be accessible in Ujjar Ulvar village in Kasaragod district, with plans to expand its availability to 212 villages where the digital survey has been completed, within three months.Once operational, the portal will offer a range of services in villages where the digital survey is complete. These services include the issuance of thandaper certificates, pre-mutation sketches, liability certificates, fair land value assessments, template-based land registration, ownership transfers, land management, land tax payment facilities, location sketches, and access to previous survey records. "This comprehensive approach is expected to simplify land record processes and enhance service delivery to citizens," he said. One of the portal's standout features is that landowners will be able to complete all procedures related to land transfers online. A unique feature of the portal is that all documents related to the land, including registration deeds, revenue records, and digital land parcel maps, will be available through a single portal immediately after land registration, he said. The ‘Ente Bhoomi' integrated portal, also known as the Integrated Land Information Management System (ILIMS), is being hailed as the first comprehensive digital land information system in the country. "With this unprecedented achievement in land record management, Kerala has reached global standards in this field," the minister said. This achievement positions the state at the forefront of land record management, with few other regions worldwide boasting similar digital land survey maps and management systems. Rajan said that by enhancing the efficiency of land record management in the state, the ‘Ente Bhoomi' portal is also becoming a benchmark for other states. "Several states have already expressed interest in adopting Kerala's digital resurvey project model and learning about the comprehensive digital land information system," he said. With continuous updates to land records, end-to-end digital surveys, and ongoing improvements, the ‘Ente Bhoomi' portal is establishing itself as a national model for land record management in the country, the minister added.
